Second exit MTB Sgnuffitech in the area Valloriate. As always invited by our friend Marco, I went to the splendid Valloriate for a route (in my humble opinion) already a little more demanding and with some slightly "technical" features.

Route description of Valloriate:

It starts from the Piazza del Municipality of Valloriate (795m) and go up the valley of the same name: come to Molino, at the crossroads with wooden poles, keep left on the path P3.

It is reached Chiapue and then 1 km ca, at a bridge with a crossroads keep left for You know (indication Colle Ortiga).

The road climbs decidedly and then the branch to the right is ignored Gorrè : you go left and you reach the houses You know and just before the chapel of the village the road becomes unpaved.

In front of the beautiful church, a hairpin bend to the right (with indication) climbs into the woods with a constant slope; at the exit of the woods you come across a hut; subsequently the dirt road with good ground continues between meadows, a beech forest and finally a beautiful pine forest (fairy forest): you abandon the Valloriate Valley and we proceed in Vallone della Costa.

paths 9 km ca, you meet the road that climbs from Demonte (to the left) and leads to Colle dell’Ortiga: keep right and pass a gias.

After that, the bottom starts to get worse; after 2 km, passed a last hard ramp, you get to the mythical Colle dell’Ortiga, 1774m.

After a well-deserved break, proceed uphill to the east and the Beccas di Mezzodì, at the next branch with a pole, keep to the right and go along a nice single track in a false plane, subsequently a very technical ups and downs leads to Colle Barmetta and then to Colle Roccasson (12 km ca).

From here we do not continue beyond Alps of Rittana, but look for the bottom right on your right Colle della Gorgia (in front of Colle Roccasson and Monte Tagliarè, croce): once the labile trace has been identified, one throws oneself into the meadows on a very steep descent and reaches the Colle della Gorgia, 1583m (wooden pole). To your left a short but steep descent to be approached with caution leads to a plateau (Napoleon cemetery) and then you keep the path on the right (on the left you would go down into the Valletta di Rittana).

From this point you follow a single-track adrenaline rush ignoring the various crossroads on the right and left.

With fast and compact bottom, the path subsequently widens into a dirt track, always ignoring the various crossroads and staying on the main dirt road, you get to quickly Chiotti from where the asphalt is taken: you go downhill quickly until you cross a dirt road that goes down to the left with the indication “Monumental chestnut”: take the forest road, you come to the pretty Cappella dedicated to S.Anna e, carrying on, you come to the majestic chestnut (age approx. 500 years).

Continue along the wide forest road until you reach the asphalt belt: follow it downhill to Valloriate closing the ring after 23 km.
